Can a property registered in the name of a Hindu temple deity be divided without the temple’s management approval?

Under Indian law, a property registered in the name of a Hindu temple deity is considered the property of the temple itself, managed by its trustees. Dividing such property without the temple management’s approval is illegal and can be challenged in court.
