Under Indian law, a lawyer can only act on your behalf with your informed consent. If your lawyer settled the case without your consent and made a mistake, you can seek to reopen the case by filing a petition in the court that settled the case. You should consult a new lawyer immediately to discuss your options and the best course of action.
