I lent ₹7,25,000 to a friend 15 years ago, paid by cheque. He recently gave me another cheque for repayment. I’m worried it might bounce. Can I still deposit it and claim the principal amount along with interest? How long will it take for the case to be settled, and what would be the estimated legal costs? This loan was given through cheques 15 years ago, and he just offered his cheque now. What should I do?
