I gave a company five blank cheques at the start of a deal, specifying they were for safekeeping only. However, they delivered sub-par materials and way more than I ordered. I paid them the agreed amount via online transfer, after discussing it with the manager at the time. The company later dismissed the manager and deposited my blank cheques after filling in an amount. My proof is the chequebook, which shows the details of the blank cheques issued to the company, and the email I sent to them.

Based on Indian law, you have a strong case against the company. Issuing blank cheques for safekeeping does not grant them authority to fill them in and deposit them. You have proof of the original agreement, the sub-par delivery, and the manager’s dismissal, which strengthens your claim.
