I’m planning to retire on March 31st, 2017. I’ve been diagnosed with high blood pressure and have a 25% disability, but it’s not related to my service according to the Medical Board. Can I still apply for a disability pension?

You may not be eligible for a disability pension under Indian law. A disability pension is typically granted for service-related disabilities, and your high blood pressure is not considered service-related. You may wish to consult with a legal professional for clarification and advice on your specific situation.
