I retired from the Army with a 100% disability due to my service and have been receiving both disability and service pensions. Six years after leaving the Army, I got a Class 1 government job in my state under the Handicap quota (not as an ex-serviceman). My pay was fixed at the starting point of the scale, and I didn’t receive any benefit for my 10 years of Army service. This new job doesn’t have a regular pension, it’s under NPS. Should I be getting Dearness Allowance (DA) on both my service and disability pensions?

Yes, you are entitled to Dearness Allowance (DA) on both your service and disability pensions as per Indian law. Your government job under the Handicap quota doesn’t affect your pension entitlements. DA is calculated separately for service and disability pensions and is based on the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
