  2. Capital: The society must have sufficient capital to carry out its activities. Members can raise the capital through contributions or secure loans from financial institutions.
  3. Board of Directors: The society must have a Board of Directors to manage its affairs. The Board is elected by the members of the society and is responsible for decision-making.
  4. Annual General Meeting: The society must hold an Annual General Meeting (AGM) every year, where the Board of Directors presents the annual report and accounts of the society.
  5. Audit: The accounts of the society must be audited annually by a Chartered Accountant.
  6. Filing of returns: The society must file its annual returns with the Registrar of Cooperative Societies and other relevant authorities.
