My husband passed away four years ago. We own a flat in a Rohini society in Delhi, but it’s registered in his name. I’m the nominee on the property and have one child. How can I transfer the flat’s ownership to my name? Also, does his family have any claim to this property?

You can transfer the flat ownership to your name through a legal heir certificate, succession certificate, and a mutation application in the society and municipal records. His family has no claim to the property as you are the nominee and the legal heir.
