My father, a dedicated soldier in the EME Corps of the Indian Army, served for 22 years, retiring as a Havildar in 2008. Despite his desire to serve for two more years, potentially achieving promotion to Nb/Subedar, he was medically retired. Unfortunately, he received neither the promotion, extension, nor a medical pension. Given his medical condition stemmed from his service, shouldn’t he be entitled to a medical pension?

You have legal recourse under the Real Estate (Regulation and Development) Act, 2016 (RERA). You can file a complaint with the RERA authority, seeking compensation for the delay, and also potentially termination of the agreement and refund of your payments with interest.
