My husband has been working for an events company for almost a year, but he never received a formal appointment letter. He was always told what to do verbally and was expected to manage the company, even suggesting improvements. Now, his employer has stopped paying him and claims he hasn’t contributed anything. Can we take legal action?

Yes, you can take legal action. Your husband’s verbal appointment and responsibilities, coupled with his performance, establish an implied contract. His employer’s non-payment and claims are baseless, and he is entitled to wages and compensation for his work.
